Ten Life Choices1. Choose Honesty. An honest, humble confession of what is really going on in my life frees me from the lies that keep me stuck and creates a teachable spirit within me. (I John 1:9; James 5:16). 2. Choose Grace. Receiving God’s grace frees me from the labor of self-effort (Titus 3:5; Romans 7:10).
3. Choose Forgiveness. Receiving God’s forgiveness and extending it freely to others frees me from the bondage of sin and wounds (I John 1:9; Eph. 4:32; Matt. 18:23ff).
4. Choose Truth. Renewing my mind with God’s truth frees me from negative self-talk and affirms my true identity in Christ (Eph. 4:22-24; Eph. 1; John 8:31-32).
5. Choose Surrender. Allowing the Father to remove the cloak of shame frees me from contempt and coping mechanisms (Romans 8:1).
6. Choose Empowerment. Submitting to the power of the Spirit in me frees me from the tyranny of the flesh (Galatians 2:20; 5:16).
7. Choose Community. Developing healthy relationships frees me from unhealthy attachments and co-dependency (I Peter 1:22; Hebrews 10:25; James 5:16).
8. Choose Worship. Cultivating a heart of worship frees my heart to receive the love and instruction from the Father (John 4:23-24; Ephesians 5:18-20).
9. Choose Intimacy. Moving toward an intimate relationship with God through discipleship frees me from empty religion and isolation (John 8:31-32; John 15).
10. Choose Availability. Remaining open to all of the ways that God may want to use my journey to impact others frees me from self-focus (Mark 16:15; II Corinthians 1:3-4).
