If you look at the diagram above it is clear that the rules we live by, the flesh patterns we develop and the behaviors we exhibit all flow out of what we believe. If, at the core of our belief system, we find a stronghold of lies that has developed from our past, our behaviors will be adversely affected. So many people believe that they are stupid, inadequate, ugly, perverted, a failure, lazy or crazy because others have spoken these words to them or because circumstances have been interpreted that way. Satan, the father of lies, takes these words and events and empowers them to rule our lives.

But God is a God of truth.

In John 8:31-32 Jesus promised that for those disciples who were committed to His truth, freedom from the stronghold of lies was possible. If you could renew your mind with the truth about who you really are in Christ, it would change EVERYTHING! If you have recieved Christ's full forgiveness for sin, you are a precious child of the Father (John 1:12), completely accepted by God (Ephesians 1:6) and righteous (II Corinthians 5:21). Choose truth!
